Family Letter
February 2012
Dear Families,
I can’t believe that January is over and
we are headed to February. We have been teased with tantalizing weather
just to be brought back to reality with the “delightful” snow. Please
keep your fingers crossed on February 2nd in hopes of the groundhog not
to see his shadow so that Spring will be right around the corner.
The beginning of Lent will take place on Wednesday, February 22nd at our
All School Mass, at 10:00a.m, for Ash Wednesday. Please join us to
receive ashes as our reminder that the Lord loved all of so much that He
gave his own life to save us. During the 40 days are you going to repeat
the routine of what you usually do for Lent: no sweets or complaining,
extra prayer, and the usual fasting and abstinence? Maybe it is time to
realize that you weren’t growing spiritually or being challenged with
those routines. Take time to talk with your family to see what everyone
can do together.
Our PTO and School Advisory Board continue their great efforts to raise
funds with your help. Our World’s Finest Candy Sale will run from
February 3rd – 17th. We ask that every family try to sell one box if not
more. The top selling family will win $100 off their March tuition. Each
family that sells a box will receive an out-of-uniform pass for their
child/ren & a chance to win a solid “5 Pound” World’s Finest Chocolate
Candy Bar. The next fun event for your entire family on the calendar is
the FUN MARDI GRAS NIGHT on Friday, February 10th from 6-9p.m. There
will be dancing, games, raffles, food & so much more. We hope you are
able to come out with family and friends to have a great time! The
purpose behind our fundraisers is to help our school remain academically
strong. The cost of tuition at Sacred Heart is significantly less than
the cost incurred to educate each student, and raising these funds is
one way to off-set the difference---your support is needed and
appreciated.
Our School Advisory Board met this past week to set tuition rates for
the 2012-2013 school year. We will be sending home soon the new fees so
you can save on early registration rates.
STAY WARM AND HEALTHY!
Mrs. Barbara Ciconte, Principal
